At one time, Pagerank was considered the ultimate score card that measured the relevance and importance of a web page, but today, it has lost its flare and many SEO enthusiasts disregard Pagerank value. It has been more than 6 months since the last Pagerank update and Google, on average, updates the Toolbar every 3 months or 4 times per year.What should Google do with Pagerank?

If Pagerank goes away, advertisers will need to shift gears (something they should of done and long time ago) and focus on natural, referral and direct traffic to a given website.
