Internet Security 2012 is a rogue anti-virus and internet firewall program. The rogue program automatically installs itself without the user’s knowledge or consent. Once installed, the user will be alerted with false threats on the computer.
These fake security programs are scams that steal money by fooling users into purchasing the software in order to remove the fake threats on the user’s computer.
The rogue program is installed by a Trojan by visiting malicious web sites from email attachments, links, and drive-by downloads. This rogue software is another variation of Security Tool and System Tool. The good news is that you can use the same removal instructions to remove Internet Security 2012. Tested on my wife’s laptop.

Frank,
You do not need rkill for Iinternet Security removal – taskkill works as well. Then run MSConfig, and isecurity.exe will be listed. Disable it and reboot. After you kill isecurity.exe process and re-start IE, you should be able to download anything on the infected machine and run it.
Sure, you should scan with favorite anti-malware program to delete the remaining infections…
