There are five known scams exploiting the death of Amy Winehouse according to Anti malware experts. One of which has been going around Facebook for the last day or so. The scams bait the user into thinking they will get to see “shocking videos” of the pop star in the final days and hours before her death. If you receive any message promising you shocking videos about Amy Winehouse, you should ignore or delete them.

Scammers feed off of headlines and launch campaigns to exploit the “person/s” creating the buzz for the media. Facebook is like a playground for scammers, because they know that many people follow the news and it’s the largest audience to target online.

These scams are similar to ones from recent months, the death of, Japanese Tsunami, Elizabeth Taylor and pictures of a dead Osama bin Laden.
