There’s an email purporting to be from Victoria’s Secret, claiming that if you take the online survey your next purchase at Victoria’s Secret is absolutely FREE* (up to $1,000). This sounds too good to be true, and it is. This is a scam to get recipients to click on the link embedded in the email.

The link in the email goes to a malicious web site that spreads malware and or spyware. This site is currently blocked by many corporate firewalls, but it is not currently blocked by Google or any other search engine.

Victoria’s Secret Survey Scam

The fake survey site collects personal information to be used for illegal activity and or sold to 3rd party marketers. This phishing scam is common where crooks use brand names to lure in their victims in believing it is a legitimate promotion. The crooks use real logos and copyrighted information to make it look like the real deal.

If you come across any email claiming to give you money for taking a survey, please ignore it and delete immediately. The URL (web address) in the email goes to http://click.eyk.net which has a poor reputation by WOT (Web of Trust) and other security vendors.
