There’s an email purporting to be from Yahoo stating that “Your account is blocked” and for more information, download the attached document. The document is “” and it’s not from Yahoo. If a user opens the attachment it will infect their system with a nasty virus.

The same infected attachment is also being sent from a so-called Express Delivery System also purporting to be from a legitimate carrier service. This email has the same attachment. Removal

The file is an executable file that has a variant of the Salga.a Worm. This infected file is a mass mailing worm that attempts to spread via email. If installed, it will cause computer performance issues, loss of data or private information being shared to other websites.

It’s important to never download any attachments especially those with file extensions like .exe and .zip. If you’ve mistakenly downloaded the attachment, you can remove this parasite by running both Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware. Both of these security programs come with free versions.

How to remove virus

  1. Reboot your PC and hit F8 to run your computer in Safe Mode with Networking.
  2. Launch MalwareBytes and run a (Full Scan) to remove infections.
  3. Launch SuperAntiSpyware and run a (Full Scan) to remove spyware.

I prefer to run my computer in safe mode to remove any and all viruses, worms or Trojans.
