These two hacking organizations have made posts on Twitter that they’ve joined forces. This could be one of the largest and most dangerous hacking organizations on the internet today. LulzSec (Lulz Security) and the group Anonymous took down the UK police web site as part of “Operation Anti-Security” on Monday.
Anonymous made a post on Twitter yesterday, stating – “The Governments and Banking Systems won’t know what hit them”. Lulz Security declared “Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments.”
This is a major threat to sensitive information and I highly recommend that everyone take precautionary measures by changing passwords and keeping track of banking information and any other online activity.
Anonymous announced its plan for the coming twelve months in this video.

So banks are not a safe place now for our money. I think these hackers are bringing the old system back when people used to hide their money in the backyard of their homes by burying it in soil and consider it the only safe place
Stepehen,
That’s why I made the statement about hiding our money in mattresses.
Unfortunately Stepehen, burying money in a backyard is only secure as long as your neighbors don’t have a shovel. It’s basically security though obscurity, which isn’t secure long term.
I just saw this on the newspaper. There were two articles, one on Obama saying that the country needs to prepare for cyber warfare and another about LulzSec hacking into the CIA and Sony. I have a feeling LulzSec caused this new security upgrade. Good thing I’m not important, doubt they would ever hack me, especially since they don’t do things for profit.
Mark,
We are small time and hacker groups thrive for recognition and attention.
I agree with Frank….could be done for seeking attention
Thanks
Sim
So I am guesssing that you guys think that these hackers are all bad? What about the govertnments and central bank?
Do you think that they are completely blameless about the state of the world today?
I do not think hackers have ever physically harmed anyone have they?
Just opening up the debate here guys!
Spybubble,
I think they (hackers) do some good by bringing awareness that nothing is absolutely secured.
That’s right, but many people fall victims of hackers and should be protected
