Google Analytics – Never leave home without it! (You need to create an account). Once your account is created, go to My Account and click on Analytics to set up your website or blog. All you need to do is copy the code and paste it in your footer template. If you have WordPress, copy it before the </body> in your index.php template.

For a WordPress blog, I recommend using the Google Analyticator plugin. It is easy to install and easy to use. You do need a Google account before you install the plugin. My blog is self-hosted and it works great – providing me with all of the data I need.
