What is “XML sitemap”?
A sitemap is a way of organizing a website, identifying the URLs and the data under each section. Previously, the sitemaps were primarily geared for the users of the website. However, Google’s XML format was designed for the search engines, allowing them to find the data faster and more efficiently.
You can create an xml sitemap for free! In addition, this free sitemap generator will also create an html sitemap which you can use for your own visitors.
It’s easy to use and it will make a difference!
Visit http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/index.php
- Enter your full website URL
- Press ‘Start’ button and wait until the site is completely crawled (the progress will be indicated – see image below)
- You will see the generated sitemap details page, including number of pages, broken links list, XML file content and link to a compressed sitemap. Download the sitemap file using this link and put it into the “public_html/” folder of your site.
- Go to your Google Webmaster account and add your sitemap URL.
The free version will only generate up to 500 pages. If you purchase the Unlimited Sitemap Generator ($19.99 US), you get an unlimited amount of pages.
Enjoy your new sitemap!
Hello Dear,
There is no doubt that, this is a nice free online Sitemap Creator & previously I am also use this. But only this is, you cant able to create your complete sitemap if, your site pages exceed more than 500 pages.
The free version limits you to 500 pages, but if you upgrade you can create as many as you have. It’s a great value for such an important tool.
This tool is limited not crawl more than 500 links, is any solution to get more links in sitemap with automated too. My site have 50,000 uls how do I create sitemap for this.
thanks
If you have a WordPress blog you can download the Google XML Sitemap plugin.
Has any one here purchase the unlimited version and compared it to the free website version? If you have not, I can tell you that I feel I have just been ripped off. Once you pay it is nothing like the free version where all you need to know is to input a web address and it does all the work. It is a complete unuser friendly, slow, time consuming mess. I just lost $20, because I am deleted their garbage.
