“Joe the Plumber” name was referenced 26 times throughout the last presidential debate earlier this week. As you know, the man known as “Joe the Plumber,” whose real name is Sam Wurzelbacher, was thrust into the national spotlight, and declared the real “winner” of the presidential debate by Senator McCain, except for a few things. Joe’s really not a licensed plumber, he owes $1,200 in personal income taxes, and back in Texas the real “Joe the Plumber” is reaping all the rewards.
In Amarillo, Texas, Joe Francis who happens to own www.joetheplumber.com got a huge spike in web traffic as people turned to the Web to find out more about the mysterious Joe. Since all his business information is posted online, Joe’s office was inundated with thousands of phone calls, emails, and even requests for T-shirts bearing his company’s logo. Known as “The Friendliest Plumber in Town,” Mr. Francis may soon be known as the richest plumber in town if he acts quickly and takes the $800,000 bid one man offered for his domain.
The name “Joe The Plumber” is referenced by thousands of blogs throughout the internet. Go to Google.com and search that exact term to see what we mean. The bidding wars may drive this domain name to the 1 million dollar mark, but who would pay that much? My bet, it’s not going to be a Plumber.
Let the bidding begin!
There ya go, a perfect example of a plumber who will have made more than $250k in one year and end up being taxed to smithereens under Obama’s plan.
