If you can’t beat them, join them, but not in this case. Google, the world leader in everything online has been making many changes to its recipe or in this case, its algorithm (Penguin 2). Google+ is now part of that secretive recipe that every SEO professional would like to have just a little peek at. Google doesn’t make it easy to know how to be all you could be when it comes to ranking in search results or SERPS (Search Result Pages). I have been reading several discussion and it all boils down to Google trying to add significance to its social network Google+ and pretty much saying if you don’t use it, you lose. If you want to rank, get on the Google Plus train.Google+ Benefits

Let’s be realistic for a moment. By adding the Google+ button to your web site will not make your site magically soar up through the search engine results pages from search queries. This effort takes time and some due diligence on your part. Here’s what you need to do to ensure you are utilizing and configuring Google+;

  • Google+ page must be authorized by your commercial entity, organization, brand, or product
  • Your Google+ page’s profile must contain a link to your organization’s website
  • Your organization’s website must connect to your Google+ page, by adding the Google+ badge or by adding a snippet of code
  • Your Google+ page must already have a meaningful number of followers

It certainly feels like webmasters are being bullied by Mr. Larry Page into giving up our personal details into Google+. There’s no doubt based on the many discussions I have read that Google is boosting G+ account holders in SERPs.

Google rules and if you want your online business to be successful, you need to get on the Google+ train. Who didn’t see this coming?
