Comcast has been showered with negative press as of late and for good reason. Just recently, Comcast was forced to sign an agreement to block child porn which it has complied, but only until Comcast was backed into the corner.

The Communications Commission has formally accused the former British colony’s second largest broadband provider of breaking Internet network neutrality by throttling P2P traffic from Bit Torrent.

Comcast claimed that network throttling was part of routine network management by broadband service providers, but the FCC said that this argument was cobblers.

That seems like a stretch to me that they were only running routine testing of their network, who do they think they’re fooling?

The agency said that Comcast was guilty of secretly degrading network traffic and in a split 3-2 vote ordered the ISP to stop blocking traffic, disclose to the FCC the full extent of the cable giant’s traffic practices and to keep the public informed of its future network management plans.

The agency found that Comcast misled consumers when it did not properly disclose its P2P policy.
