If you receive an email stating your eBay account has been suspended, please delete this email! This email comes from eBey.com and not eBay.com. The email is intended to steal account holder information.
Here’s the email:
The sender uses legitimate links to eBay’s privacy and user agreement. The problem with this email is the senders actual email address is not from eBay. It looks close to the real deal, but it’s a fake.
I haven’t seen this email yet, but practically every time you mention something I subsequently see the scam somewhere. Thanks for all the work you continue to do to keep us all so well informed. Ebay account suspension email scammer take heed! Frank just took w big ole tech jaw-full out of y’ah!
Zuck,
Thank you!
I received this email yesterday and immediately published an article to ensure no one becomes a victim of this scam.
Thanks for the heads up. I am a member of ebay and will surely be watching out for this. Thanks for this warning. Will surely be retweeting this.
Andrew,
I am as well and received this yesterday and immediately published an article to ensure no one becomes a victim of this scam.
I personally never received this email scam too. But thanks for the heads up.
I’ll share this link to warn more people with this illegal activities.
This is dreadful. The online scams are growing rapidly, one after another are messing our time and energy to check for its authenticity. I have been receiving some fraud emails from so-called local banks as well. In the newspaper report, the victims claimed they never once thought about re-checking the web addresses for who else may have their emails?.. sigh.. we need to enhance the awareness.

Ching,
It’s unfortunate, but it will get worse. These people obviously have talent, but to bad they can’t find a better way.

Yah, I’ve seen this done before. It’s annoying that people do this, but in the end there is always money to be made off of stealing people’s account info so we’ll continue to see more creative ways to do it.

Chris,
It’s what keeps us security minded people on out toes.

Today, i have received a mail from eBay but thanks was not that mail. any way thanks for informing me.
Haven’t gotten that email but was on a pc that I hadn’t used before and did get a blip of a re-direction to enter my user name and password, it just looked wrong.. so I didn’t sign in. I can see if that happens again today..and forward you a screen shot.
It was not the standard sign in – had wayyyy to many questions!
Susie,
If you get one of these emails check the from address carefully. How are things by you btw?
I can’t believe this stuff is still around. I got my first Ebay phishing email over 5 years ago.
