I am not sure how many iPhone owners know about a site called iPhoneApps.org. They’re claiming to sell iPhone apps for half price which is a very sweet deal. You should be cautious when considering buying and downloading iPhone Apps from anyone besides Apple. There are a number of Apple discussion groups sounding off about this web site.
The site advertises the iPhone’s “top 10” applications for a flat fee of $25. Payment is accepted using PayPal, according to the site. If you compare this with the top ten sellers at the Apple App Store (via iTunes) it would run $65. A pretty big savings.
I am skeptical for one reason, and that is what Steve Jobs had said back in June. Jobs said that Apple is the exclusive distributor of official iPhone applications when he announced the App Store during a keynote address at the Apple World Wide Developers Forum.
I recommend staying clear of any third-party sites selling iPhone Apps and buy only from the Apple store.
