I use ‘WOT’ before I download anything! It has already warned me about this product causing me to run in the opposite direction as fast as a mouse can click.
Jilli,
You have the love the WOT!
They are out in force to cash in during the wake that Conficker left, the problem being users still PAY to get infected! Unbelievable!
There are just so many of these appearing every day and users download them, pay for them then find they have got more problems when originally they probably had none or very few!
Colin,
It is getting worse by the day and I am going to conquer their evil empire!
Great article, very helpful….I will pass this on to my friends.
Marie,
I am glad to share so that others don’t fall for this fake software.
I keep with my trusted Spybot S&D. Plus, before I download any software, I make sure to Google it first – if there are any problems, those will surface right away. A malicious programmer doesn’t have time to promote his product to the top of Google before unleashing it.

Kristi,
I also recommend mywot.com. It advises before you take an action, check it out.

Quail,
